Where does the black green wire from the pre heat go or what does it connect to?

Anyone? The only thing I could find in the Haynes manual is that it joins a black wire from fuse 18?

On my 1400 it is attached although not sure where it goes/what it does

On my 1300 it was not attached - and made absolutely no difference
