How do you go about fitting a upgraded air filter to a 1.2 vauxhall nova. I cant find a different air box that will fit the carburettor :S. Any idea on where to get one from ?? or what will fit ?? Cheers
you can get a k&n to fit the 1.2, and it will maybe get you 2hp if you are lucky, but it will sound better.... the std filter is more than adequate on a 1.2

be lucky if it stays at standard power sucking in hot air tbh lol

any chance there is a link to a pic of it????
the 1.2 nova carb is tiny, it has a breather pipe & a vacuum connection, so it will be difficult to simply fit a cone to it.
you could email me a pic of it & i'll post it up.
just do not do this....

it is like the one in the picture above. just want to replace the one and have a air box leading to the cone.
its the wrong type of filter then. a cone is only really suitable for use with an injected engine. if you google search a 1.2 carb model k&n filter kit, you will see what is needed, they have a baseplate with the breather & vacuum connections.
maybe have a look at corsa 1.2 spi intake pipes to see if they are any use
