Worn/Broken Piston Rings

My car has got worn/broken piston rings, its a 1.2 merit. I was wondering what wud be the best option:
Sell car get another 1.2 merit and put bits i have on new car,
Get a 1.3 Astra with 5 speed gearbox and put engine and gearbox in Nova,
Rebuild 1.2 engine.
The body is very good and hasn't been hit in front.

Personally i'd go for the 1.3 engine from the Astra, i think they are the same as the 1300SR engines, but couldn't be sure?

These days good examples of them are cheap as chips.

ive got an astra engine (ok its a 1600 not a smaller one - but its the same principle)

the engine is very low mileage, very strong, and very good.

velos were really pleased at how strong it was, and the results off the rollers were good also.

go for a granny astra mobile or something similar that wont have been thrashed, maybe an old flat cap persons cavalier even!?
