Sport Work for Billing

I have finally cleared a few jobs and I have finally started stripping the Sports interior, ready for a near side arch repair;)

The car was restored @ 8years ago and has faired pretty well, barring this arch that hast deteriorated over the last couple of years.

Graham Gray the lad that restored it did a goood job overall, and applied lashings of waxoyl yo the inner rear arch, which I need to remove before cuttung ang welding in a new section.

I'll do the bodywork repair, and get a friend of mine to paint it.

Might be brave enough to cut and put the stripe on;)

Just realised thats primer where the paints gone & not the remains of the sticker! Ouch, dont want to remove my decals, EVER!

Well, been tied up recently on other things, on Saturday I made a proper start

Drilled access holes and started metal cutting:eek: Using a hack saw and a set of sunroof meta cutter I removed the rotten sections

Got a phone call tonight she's ready to collect, just as well as she's due for an MOT 2.00pm Friday!!lol

Just need to sort replacement stripe, refit the rest of the interior and road taxlol

She sits on 5 1/2J x 14" Compomotive TH's with 185/60/14 Yokohama A539's;)

NSR is an astra teardrop, but the other 3 are TH's

A lot of TH's are 6" wide

Value depends on condition as ever, the reciept that came with the car was @£350 bought in 2002.

If straight, assuming needing a refurb would think @£20-£30, if mint maybe £30-40 each.

Looking good, match up is great, will get the interior fitted and cleaned over next week and a few other jobs.

Booked in next friday to get the new stripe to be fitted, then straight down the A19/A1 to Billing:thumb:

I would pop a couple of bits of masking tape on just to make sure.

Last night gave the outside a good clean, polished all the paintwork barring the quarter that needs the stripe on.

Flat polished a couple of blimishes on the quarter panel so that they don't show through the stripe.

Removed the front white flashes(painted on badly, and was flaking off) with my cold pressure wash.

Will hopefully make a template to make some new vinyl ones tonight!

Were now just about readylol

Just need a few essentials, food, tent, BEER;)
