I'm after a set of Coilovers for my Egg.

I'm after a set i can use for 50weeks of the year just driving to work and generally messing about that aren't too harsh..

Then for 2 weeks of the year and the odd trackday, be able to preform well.

I know the Gaz ones are good, what are Konis etc etc like.

What sort of poundage should the front springs be.. It's running a C20xe.

Will i have to stitch weld the rear turrets?? It is stripped, no rear seats..

And, finally if anybody has any for sale, please PM me.

Thanks

Rick

I cant rate the GAZ stuff highly enough. My Nova was dogged with various crap sus setups over the years. I had 275lb fr springs & 175lb rears. Great on the road & I'd imagine good on track. Not harsh, well damped yet roll-less when chucked through bends & roundabouts.

Anything else will not come close in terms of VFM IMO, seeing you are a club member,

Gaz are fooking spot on tbh.
If you use the car a lot on the road then id go for something like 250-275 fronts, and 200 rears.

If you want 'club' prices, see the link in the club section & speak to the chap that is aware of the club offer at GAZ. I specified my spring rates & got them to my liking rather than off the shelf.

Gaz are the best i've used (avo,fk, spax and such) Can tell enough people to use them.

I got mine tho from Rally Design, before the discount on here and before you could buy direct. Cost be a 99ice cream short of £600.

If i've lost £40 or £50 discount, then meh... so be it.. Its only pieces of paper. lol

Hopefully have them in a couple of weeks.

Rickardo, try & speak to the guy you spoke to & explain the discount slipped your mind in the heat of the moment on the phone. Got to be worth a try & a phone call for that specific purpose will indicate how serious you are at getting the club deal.
