Have you ever phoned for a taxi from home to take you to work or a friends etc? and turns up about 30 mins late is a clapped out toyota, nissan or mondeo?

yep, always happens to me, but not today, called a taxi about 5:45 and by 5:50, the taxi had arrived, nothing much youre thinking, but this werent no clapped out toyota or nissan, it was a highly tuned, highly modified Honda Accord Type R!

it rolled up outside my house, and i thought wtf!!!!!

sitting on 18s, huge rear wing, recaro bucket seats, tinted windows, 2x 12" subs, pioneer head unit, 6x9s, sports exhaust, engine tune ups, the lot!

and who was driving it?

a 50+ yr old guy! LOL!

i got into work, told my work collegues, and no one believed me! g!ts!

whats the most mentle taxi that has picked you up?

lol, yeah mike, TC Cars, afetr work, i phone TC, Bradford, Beaufort and Local, as they all take the p*ss arriving, so who ever arrives first, they are the ones i use, lol!

all of these have a mix of cr*ppy cars on top b0ll0x cars, i was dropped off at work in a BMW M3, and a few mercs, etc, real top stuff you would never use as a taxi!

would you pick up some guy p*ssed out of his head from a pub in you top notch Accord Type R? i wouldnt!

my dad bought himself a Rover 800 sterling and used it for taxi work...

the key to it is you dont accept jobs that are picking people up from pubs etc, you do the lucrative airport runs and if you get business people in the decent car they will phone again and ask specifically for your car > thus making you more money.


But no... i wouldnt taxi in a Type-R > not economical enough. :D

There is a suburu Impreza turbo taxi in Leamington Spa, I've never been in it, but I have seen it a few times when I have been out there. Apaarently he charges around double what the standard taxis charge though.

i think its funny the way the taxi dude races other cars like the mercs and makes fun of how slow they are,and he always says how he's not goin too fast cos his tyres arent warmed up yet when hes actually going fast as hell :lol:

yeah,but ppl who havent watched them should cos they are ace,i think the french subtitles put ppl off,if they see the rally bit at the start of taxi 2 that makes you think, hey this looks good.there is so many funny bits

The white taxi in taxi and taxi 2 looks a bit ott, but i like the idea at a press off a button a full on bodykit and wheels are put on :D The Germans in taxi 1 really shudn't of used a merc

theres a taxi in nottingham which is a supra turbo that looked the dogs danglies and went like it to he got me from bulwell to the train station in 10mins the driver were pretty kool as well he sed if i missed the train then just give him a ring and he would pick me up and take me back mind u i did give him a twenty to get me there on time
