My daughter has been pestering me "bless her" for sponge bob in her room.So i drew & painted this in Acrylic paint...I plastered the room out first...Its not finished yet.Got to draw "Gary" the snail on the opposite wall & finish the "Down arrow" Phew i'm knackered:roll:

Thats really good mate!!!
I wanted to do a simular thing for my 4 year old sis but i havn't done art in a few years and not sure how the best way to start would be...
Any tips?

my friend always thought me to borrow an OHP and project the image big onto the wall. then "trace" it and then paint it.

your painting does look excellent though, if i was a kid i would be pleased.

Hi & thanx i have not got a projecter i drew these from 2 different pics my daughter had & made them into one picture.Even though "Patrick" is floating to the surface :wtf: Must be all the cider i drank while doing itlol lol

I actually think SBSP is a really funny cartoon... They both seem really twisted like they are on pills or something lol

when it gets to 'that certain' time i know people who wont watch cartoons as it scares the **** out of them lol

thats proper good, a spongebob colouring in book is as far as my skills go

As tips go.I paint the background colours first.Then set to drawing & painting one character @ a time... i did "Patrick" "Sponge Bob" & the "Jelly fish" last was the "Down Arrow"..:)

That's really good :) Patrick looks like he's jumping up in excitement, not floating away lol

My mum painted Dennis the Menace on my brother's wardrobe door, it was AWESOME!

I have done similar things to this in previous classrooms at work (school), found an image, photocopied onto acetate and then used an overhead projector. They sometimes turn up on freecycle or gum tree, if my primary in Oldham chuck any out, I'll let you know.

Me & a mate rented a place a few years ago, my bedroom had a 5ft tall winnie the pooh & Tigger mural on the wall. I painted over it.

Well i finished one wall,"Gary"s in there now & Just a few pics left to do on the other wall :cry:
