Are you/they taking the piss?

Some pikeys cut the van of the van off and sat a caravan on it.. All i can see if death everywhere with that on the road. Unless there's some proper work on the under side i can see it failing an mot and being a death trap.

Unless there's some proper work on the under side i can see it failing an mot and being a death trap.it only has to have six plates bolting the top half to the bottom on each side to be past as safe by vosa. it all that normally holds merc body's on

a few points:

1. it looks like it was done on for a tv show.....
2. mercs have a great image, but they are no more reliable than anything else & the repairs cost 3 times as much
3. you could stay in a really good hotel for less
4. each to their own

I disagree. Merc sprinters are fantastic esp the auto boxes. Compared with transits & Iveco's they are leagues ahead. No doubt they are more to run, but meh.

It looks odd though, but if it does the job who cares, you'll get some odd stares in it though.

we run mercs & they aren't that great, and the 308 is old & slow

at work, we have a vito, a sprinter and had an iveco.

the vito is alright, but is expensive to repair, and needs it often lol.
the sprinter i cant fault as all.
and the iveco was a pile of ****e, it had done 350k and was still going... just...

all the stuff i work on are merc sprinters and the 308 but we call them p80's i cant fault them one bit the do the job and they do it well. they may rattle bang and when they go wrong cost that little bit more but it is worth it in the end when you not haven them brake down every few day's like dafs and iveco's do

our sprinter has had 3 auto boxes, the injectors (which is a huge job)

I'll give it a miss, firstly cos it'll probably brake down and secondly it'll probably fall apart.

Stay in a hotel. Simple.

I would get a proper campervan or professional conversion mate. I am pretty sure you would struggle to insure it due to the massive (in an insurer's eyes) modification.

check the coolant level mowgli. i know transits have a great thing where if the coolant drops below a certain level the van cuts out, no matter what speed you are doing aswell!!!!! brilliant idea
