Hi, Does anyone know the exact details for the GSi injection system. I wanted a J-plate GSi, sp I can decat it. But I want the newer injection system because its supposed to produce more power to compensate for the cat. Multec and Bosch are the 2 different types. But which is the better 1? And would it be a straight swop? Thanx

They are not straight swops as they both have integrated looms, but i think the way it worked was that both the non-cat GTE's and GSi's had the Bosch injection systems and only the later GSi with a cat had the upgraded injection, anyway the cat doedn't make as much differece and the fuel injection is set to run with it anyway, and of couse for the sort of money it would cost you may as well think of some thing bigger, better, with 16v....

The multec system produces between 5-10 bhp to compensate for the cat on later models. Demon Tweeks do a book on modifying bosch fuel injection, haven`t bought it yet but it`s probably worth the ?20 if I can get a bit more poke out of my gte!

Buy mine '91 j gsi bare shell rebuild and a nice 16v in it! Nice.
