Obviously i know not to put hot water on a windscreen in cold weather, but i thought it would be ok to put normal temperature water on a screen in hot weather :wtf:

Bloody windscreen on the bm just cracked. It's about 20" long lol

Cheapest place to fix this? The car has no mot so im guessing il have to get somebody come round to do it. Wish it was as simple as a piece of string

on normal glass a lighter can be used to chase the crack and fixes it but im not sure if it works on windscreens.

Just ring local windscreen bloke and ask how much for an out and in, then find one in a breakers, usually costs me £20-30 for fitting or if my freindly autoglass bloke damages another one in the stockroom its usually £80 supply and fit.

Even cold water will clear ice, as its still way above freezing.

Got a quote of £100+vat for them to come to my house to do it. My mate breaks bms so do you think it'l be worth taking a windscreen out of one of them and seeing if they will fit that?

depends, if you ring the company and ask, they'll probably say no, if you find someone that works for them and offer £40 cash, they'll probs do it
