View Full Version : Weight of a Comp MO/TH
Can anyone hazard a guess as to roughly how much a Comp MO/TH (15 X 6) weighs? I literally haven't a clue, I know they're pretty heavy for their size though.
Just need to know for a courier, which leads me on to my second question, who would you lot suggest to use (it's to collect and deliver 2 wheels)? I know some couriers do really good deals up to certain weights but can't think of any off the top of my head!
Cheers.
Parcel2Go
About 15kg id guess at, maybe a bit more

Send them to my house please lol
7.8Kgs for the MO
7.5Kgs for the TH
...thats each, and not including tyres of course.

Thers no way a TH weights that much???? Mine were about 4.5kg a rim!
My 15" RFX's are only 4.2kg a rim.
EDIT: The 4 RFX's i had delivered today cost £21.15 with a courier if thats any help.
Apparently so, according to wheelweights.net

Thats never right? Ill go trawl my old WiP thread as i did weight them TH's i had.
Cheers for the info guys! Would it be safe to say 15kg for 2 wheels then? Parcel2go want about £10 for next day which seems very reasonable.

Nice one. Just picked up a pair of old skool 15 X 6 TH's off ebay (with ET49 offset too). Look like they've had bit of a hard life but hopefully with a good refurb I'll be able to use one as a spare for the set I've already got:

Probs get the engraved bits smoothed over to match my others. What ever happened to the set you had anyway? Did you flog them on ebay in the end? Been waiting ages for one to come up as a spare, not many about!

£50 for 2 so can't complain too much!
Good man, they are some pretty cool looking wheels (although RFX's are a close contender)! Were your set 6.5J or am I just making that up?

Bargain! £50 already sandblasted?
15" them RFX's are aswell :) BUT i do prefer TH's to them anyday!!
Mine were 6.5J IIRC (this time last year i sold them but i think they were?) they were VERY close to the suspension/hub knuckle, very close as in 3mm gap or something stupid & they stuck out reet far compared to the arch lol

Nah, don't think they're sandblasted, more like freshly gravel blasted! lol
