just had a thought
im getting a xe this weekend hopefully and was thinking as i had the vxr engine sitting there and cant get it in and running into the nova
why not use the pistons out of it for the xe to lower the c/r and then get a turbo on the xe after sorting oil feeds out

Just fit let pistons? The ones that are tried, tested, and been here for 20 years!

Dont forget you will need to change alot, like ecu, loom, throttle body and inlet, exhaust, turbo, all ancilleries etc!

theyve been round for 20 odd years and had abuse these have done 15k miles lol
and there forged so stronger
plus im getting the xe for feck all really and its not got anything with it anyway its just a engine with no loom inlet exhaust etc
so il have to get all that anyway if im to use it anyway

if you are going to that much faff to get an engine running, just get a turbo for the LEH and get the management on it. DONE, and you wont look so much of a tool for doing so.

FFS just put the vxr lump in, get a turbo z let or vxr, get a z20let engine loom transponder and chip, put it together get that job done, if you get a z20let afm
and injectors you won't even need to map it saving you cash.

For once do the job properly ffs.

tbh edd that does sound like a plan lol
but then still need a flywheel for it
which im not sure what one to get for it
may just go and get some money and sort it all out and finish it with a zlet loom make life easier
