3.2 V6
V6 for cruising or a V8 lol
V6, so long as its a 3.0 or 3.2.

Same here, minimum 2.8 V6 turbo from the VXR Vectra. 3.0 / 3.2 V6. Or you could do what David Dixon has done and stick a turbo on the 3.2 V6 from the VXR lump.
These options would sound lovely and be a tad different from a LET. Plus the Vectra has such a big bay, options are plentiful.
he was looking for a supercharger kit, the car will not be a daily driver just for weekend fun and the odd track outing.
3.2 looks popular.

I voted stick with the V6 but that was only because i mean a Z32SE conversion, add some 3 branch manifolds, up the fuel pressure, panel filter and air box mods and chip!
Awesome engine with shed loads of power and torque!
David.

thanks lads, David i notice you seem to like the v6 units, what sort of power and torque can be achieved with a little tuning on the 3.2 ( non bottom end work maybe cams at the most ) just a rough guess as i know what you can get from a LET,
cheers.

240+ BHP on them few mods David mentioned

Surely will be a lot more than that will it not, what are the 3.2s standard output, a 2.5 V6 that he currently has is 201bhp so surely a 3.2 will be a lot more out of the packet?
ive always liked the torque from a v6, the brother has had a few 2.9 xr4x4's and they only have 150 bhp but pull really well in any gear due to the grunt low down.

3.2 v6 aaaaaaallllll the way.
lets are.......... yawn
V6 for sure, Even standard GSi's arnt slow (well considering the weight etc, and what you compare them to!) 3.2 Would be nice though.
The standard 6speed Saab box must take a lot of beating to make it go pop, or is it close to pop on standard V6?
the thing is, there is nothing wrong with the car, he got a mondeo derv for delivering the kids about the place but just wants more power at a reasoable cost to buy and install without too much hassle, he is by nature a ford man and thinks every red top engine will have a poruse head:roll: so the 3.2 looks good at the moment, maybe add nos aswell lol

v6 sounds fun! However let is tried and tested for big power....if he aint spending too much then the v6 low down grunt would be ace! He can allways make it faster in other ways....weight is a big issue on larger cars so for nothing he could improve on that if nothing else? If its not being used daily is being striped an option?

I have seen the 3.2's make 230-240 with just a filter, raised fuel pressure and a decent exhaust never mind removing both manifold cats and replacing them with tubulars.....have it remapped with those mods (by someone that knows what they are doing) and i would expect 250+, the 3.2 is generally around 220 standard but the torque curve is much smoother than a let!
