Are 1.2 and 1.3 fuel pumps different? I've put a 1.3 cam in my 1.2 but can't get it to pump properly. If I slacken it off and pump manually I can get the car running, but it seems to push the pump too far in and the rod gets stuck.

So, same part numbers? Or would it be easier to blank it off and fit an electric pump on the bulkhead?

pull the pump out and have a look at the lobes between the two but i dont think they were different at all. maybe you just got a sticky one. see if you can get the pump working my pulling it out and looking at it all! or replace it there not to expensice

you big puff, extend the pipes & tape it to your mirror then pump it as you are going down the road.....

or find the black spacer & fit that

Yep they have like an insulation spacer between pump and car housing

Spacer is on, but looks thinner than I remember my old 1.3 one being. I've got a new pump to try tonight, only £20 :)

Definitely thinner, just spaced the pump out more and turned it by hand and it's pumping fuel. Now need to bodge an additional 2mm spacer ;)
