I also could do to know this! i guess you could just feed a live to it or the pump to find out?

it should click, if it doesn't click it's most likely broken/dead/MIA, there really isnt much more that can go wrong with them.

yeh just crank it over and put your ear to it. and if it clicking then just put a battery to the pump and see if its spinning,

Do you have it directly to the pump because the fuse may have gone! have you checked? other than that id say its bust but there only about £10 delivered for a new one:thumb:

the relay i wired in correctly through the loom, i was just stating i can get the pump running using a direct fdeed from a battery

thats what i meant is your live wired directly to your pump? it could just be your fuse has gone between your pump & relay?

the wire that goes to the pump comes from the 9 pin plug from the c14se loom

i have converted from a 1.0

every nova owner needs one of these, laser tools do them, i've seen them on the net for a fiver plus postage. they will help solve all nova electrical woes, if you don't have one, get it on your pressie list

Or at least one of those screwdrivers with a blub in.
One of my most used tools at work, just because i cba to get my multimeter out.

but a test light can't tell you the voltage, it can just tell you that there is some current there

Yeah those little jo-jo multimeters are very cheap, but i haven't managed to blow mine up yet, despite having used the 10 amp range on several occasions. The DC volts are drifting a little bit after years and years of usage, 2% high.

With relays, if they are the standard 4 pin with terminals: '30 87 86 85' you can most easily test them by substitution. They come apart with a bit of persuasion but you won't necessarily see much apart from the points 'throwing'.
