My dads new toy....

Thought I'd throw up a few pictures of my dads new toy!lol
Took a notion a while back that he wanted something a bit different to take to shows, so got talking to a guy that imports Mantas/Asconas from Germany at Billing last year and ended up buying this:

A 1978 Manta B 1.9 S, 45k genuine miles, and never welded or none needed!!
Got it home just before Christmas and it now looks like this:

Loved this project myself, I was able to pick what bits to get and the old fella paid for them, I got all the fun of building etc with no pain of money!!!

It's just standard mechanically at the minute, but will get a 5 speed conversion and 45's in the future, but that's all, doubt there will be any red tops etc.

Seats are the same as manta 400 items maybe some other models.

Seats are the "blitz" interior that came in all of the Irmscher special edition Mantas, i200 (which this is a replica of), i240 and the 400.

It is almost impossible to get now and commands well into 4 figure sums when they do come up for sale!!

They are that alright, and even rarer to find a full set, usually just fronts for sale!! Would love to put them into a Nova, but far too much money to do that with, could buy a whole car for the price of a second hand interior!!!lol
