Some may remember I bought an aftermarket bumper for the vito a while back. This weekend i painted it and today tried to fit it, but as it turns out it would never fit the front of a Vito in a gazillion years, its been engineered completely incorrectly. I know aftermarket bits require a bit of fettling to fit correctly, but this thing to sit flush and not an inch away from the grill would require at least 25% of it being chopped out, leaving massive gaping holes!

I bought it a while back, ive had a rant on an email to the seller, but seeing as its been so long i doubt ill get any money back.

wouldn't you trial fit it befor spraying to see if any cutting is required. (or is thast just the chavs because once they have paid all the money for a body kit they cant afford to spray it, so fit it)

but it is well ****ty and unlucky

I was expecting some fettling, but not for it to actually be unable to fit completely!

I fell for the same thing! but i trial fitted it first lol

got a bumper off EBay for a mazda MX3, the easiest way to get it to fit was to cut the top of the old and new bumper and merge the old top to the new bottom, never again!

Exactly what i'd have to do.

i could also probably get it to fit if I unbolt the front panel lol

lol I like posting that and seeing all the PMs I get :d

not going to sell it, its not as mint as I thought it was (bottom corner chipped off by a few mm) :( which means I won't get a price anywhere near what I paid for it, and I'm not going to sell it at a massive loss. So I'll just paint it black and stick it on my turd lol

Anyway, re: vito bumper - you should have bought one of these bad boys

Not heard sod all from the suppliers. Wasn't expecting to tbh.

Got bored today so decided id do an experiment, and seeing as the bumber was looking worse than ropey at the bottom from the accident, I thought it wouldt hurt if I made it worse lol So bodgery was afoot once again.

Chopped off the bottom of the crap non fitting POS and stuck it on the old bumper covering where the old splitter parted company leaving a right mess. Bit of paint and It looks ok, still a bit ropey but will do until I can spare the funds for a new bumper splitter and paint :)
