Awesome truck mate. Check out a programme on presented by Marke Evans, called Wreck Rescue on Discovery. he oversees resto projects taken on by other people. One was a Matador that was dragged out of a forest and restored to be used as a wedding car. :)
Just the cab (wooden frame) took the father a good few months to repair/replicate! lol

was thinking about that restotation program with the bloke of a bike is born etc the rebuilt one but must of been older as the cab was a timber frame
this is the wreck rescue one that had a timber framed cab

looked awesome when it was finished
a mate of mines dad runs a haulage firm, and they have still got their 1952 scammell "coffeepot" wrecker. it does 3 miles to the gallon if your gentle with it!!!
Scammell FTW. I always think of those mad 3 wheeled things when I hear that name.
IIRC on Wreck Rescue Mark drove a Matador that some pikey still used for hsi fairground. lol
When the gyppos tip up here once a year it's Fodens and BMC's everywhere. lol

LOL same here!
there is a showmens village near us & up the back of the yard, they have got some amazing old stuff, all erf's, scammells & fodens... only the younger generation lads have a foreign truck.. we know them well, & advised them to try a scania & they couldn't believe how crap the old stuff was compared to it... they still airbrushed the sides to look like wood though
