gearbox out of xe nova

any one took just the box out with the motor still in or is it just as easy to drop the whole lot out it lookstite as f##k?

It can be done, but is a bugger to do imo - especially if your on solid mounts

I'd just swap the box as that's how I've done it in the past. No need to disconnect water pipes, exhaust etc then. I've got it down to about 3 hours to change an F20 now.

No probs at all with a F16 / F20 ect ... loads of room. F28 is a bit tight but still easily doable, even with just one person, i got to be dab hand at changing them when i had mine.

F28 is a pain in the **** as it weighs so much but like you say still doable, wouldn't fancy doing that on my own though.
