Quik racks are usually 2.3 or 2.5 turns.
Quaiffe do sell the kits or complete racks still, so could easily be a genuine quaiffe. Fit it FFS!
Quaife only list one that is >2 turns lock to lock though. Take it apart and see if there's anything stamped on the rack/pinion if you need to know.
2.5 is fine, why do you need less than 2 turns? It's not a single seat racer lol
One I have with mine also "seems" to be less than 2 turns lock to lock, but it's not been fitted to the car yet so hard to know for sure, seems they do exist though!
you can get 1.5 turns ive seen for sale before

That's what mine seems to be is 1.5-1.7, was pretty pleased when I twisted it about and it got "stuck" rather quickly lol

Got some new rear drums, handbrake cables etc to go on the new shell so shouldn't be a problem doing it in one lol

I'm thinking of going back to drums lol
do you know the amount of teeth on the rack and pinion? ( for a ratio )
when I get mine of I'll check, would be intersting to find out the different ratios of quickracks, mines is defo a TAS one I got it new and still have the receipt lol
I've no idea, this was one of the parts I got with my new shell, I didn't even get told the ratio before I took it, was just mighty pleased when I gave it a turn or 2 (had to go back the other way to get 2 ) lol
I've managed to get a quickrack for a mk2 astra gte for a friend it's 2.5 LTL aswell, the guy I got it from says it was TAS made aswell so looks like the TAS racks are pretty much the same, I've got the catolouge from 2001 so I'll check and see if it gives any spec on the ratio.
