View Full Version : Painted the inner arches
Decided to paint the inner arches today as i was board and had some hammerite left over. only done the 1st coat so far as im waiting for it to dry.
Opinions on how it looks please
and whether you think i should respray the wheels white aswell :thumb:

( i know that its not the best attempts but ill touch it up with a few more coats )
Looks good white, should have removed the shock.
haha i know lol, i dont have my tool kit at the house at the momemt, so i thought id try and paint round it, but it does look crap around it, so ill have to get my tool kit back and take it off. Benn what you reckon to white alloys aswell?

Looking good mate, will hope to do mine. Did you just wipe clean the arch then apply the Hammerite on top?
i had to wire brush mine until i managed to get all the dirt off, and then just rubbed it with a dry cloth to get the last little bits off and then painted them.
i saw in a thread the other day that you cant wipe them with a wet cloth because when you paint over them moisture is trapped behind and can cause rust behind there.

lol like i said i was just looking through a thread, the lad who did his had his in the garage overnight with heaters on to make sure it was bone dry. so i presumed they had to be as dry as possible.... :confused:
