Know someone who is selling an F20. I asked if he could tell me what FD it has. I explained where to look for the FD stamp. Unfortunately he hasn't been able to find it yet.
Was wondering if anyone has a pic of an F20 which can illustrate where he would expect to find the numbers for it, just to make things easier for him.

Peeps, after finding pics, and explaining where to look, they still cannot find any final drive stamp/markings on the box. Any ideas where it could be?
Think the part of the casting it is usually stamped on is the one you grind off when fitting the gearbox to a Nova as it hits the tie bar.

right so you're saying that it could've been ground off, hence not there. Will let him know :thumb:

Ive only seen it written on the actual crownwheel?
Could pop the side cover off and look on there?

The guy with the boxes hasn't found them so I'm gonna try my luck tbh as he was a low milage box. He did find these however. Any info on what these digits mean on the gearboxes:
One box has - 23/I
And the the other - 7/91
At first I thought it was a date stamp but the first digits don't make sense.

Not sure mate, think one was a Cav. Will ask to see what car the other one was out of and come back to you.
Thanks
