they are very rare....

blydenstein ones are the ones to look for, but i'm not even sure they are still going.... you'll get about 10hp gain

i will soon have a blydenstein e16se head for sale which has been worked for big valves and just needs the valves in it to be used, readily available from machine shops if you are interested?

Has the EGR hole in it which was blobked off by the last user, is not suitable for my engine so will be back on the market

Why not just get your head flowed and worked with bigger valves/guides etc fitted??

Plenty of engine builders that are capable!

i've been looking at the 20seh valve sizes, and they are about 3mm bigger with a very similar length....

20XE valves are the same as std 1.2 valves (or near as damnit)

or a Courtenay CS15, which is a Blydenstein 'B pack' having larger inlet valves. Bill's B+ pack heads had bigger exh valves on top of that.

broadghost, i know that i can get a nova up to surprisingly good speeds with 100hp, & i enjoy it. i am easily capable of getting it up to speeds where i could get it & me into trouble. i almost killed myself about 15years ago with 1600cc & 100hp, i know what would happen if i went with an xe..... i don't want to leave a widow for a lot of years..

i get enjoyment from tinkering with it... if i want to go fast, i'll do it in something else

Its not all about chasing power gains,
If you have a car that your happy with, power wise then stay with it.
I'd be happy with a 13sb with mild mods, loadsa fun to drive :d

I'm currently running e16se with blydenstein head, cam, lightened flywheel which all just kinda got built up as i found bits when rebuilding it. Goes terrific. I havent had it dyno'd yet but it does shift.

Sorry not got back to you, been really busy, the reason it has no longer got valves in is because they were one piece stainless valves from america that the last user had fitted so i have kept these to put into my head.

The head was all done by bill blydenstein and taken just about as far as you can do with a head like this, cost over £800 when initally done as the guy who i bought it off showed me the receipt from 1996 when it was done, to say it has only done about 2000 miles since then is amazing ans is still in excellent condition.

Pm me for details if you are still interested.
