is there a difference in any of the redtop ecu's will any redtop ecu fit or is there different ones thanks in advance

They all have different codes on usually in big black letters, i.e PT, FP, FX ...

Thers 3 choices,

20XE with no lambda sensor with a few choices of codes
C20XE with lambda sensor again with a choice of codes
C20XE with lambda and coilpack mainly PT codes.

Thats true - bu there are two DIFFERENT types that would not work if switched over...

I have had a lambda ECU running on a non lambda engine and vice versa...

Basically all Coilpack ECUs will run coilpack engines - same with dizzy/coil ECUs

my engine has a mono coilpack the ecu has gone missing i can get an ecu with the letters GQ on it its a bosh if that makes a difference i know nothing when it comes to electrics

GQ is distributor model one IIRC
