Hey guy,

im thinking about turboing my C14NZ, but have never done anything like this before, what would i need to do/ get (other than obviously a manifold and turbo) in order to get the job done to a good standard???

Cheers.

1.6 mpi head, 1.6 mpi inlet manifold + injectors +TB etc.
Some sort of turbo manifold
intercooler/chargecooler
some sort of management to run it all

voila done.

That sounds incredibly simples,

thought it was more technical than that lol

its not that much more techical, but people seem to faff and screw it up by trying to use bodge/pikey stuff

the key to any good turbo set-up is proper management

Out of intrest how long would you expect these engines to last when there done properly?

Always been curious.

As long as any other engine - key word is PROPERLY - low comp pistons for example, not a pikey decompression plate... ;)

Well, my 1.4 spi motor built in my mums kitchen with a chemical metal'd inlet made 86bhp.... lol

Near 30bhp gain for about £130 aint too shabby.
