replaced the hand brake cables yesterday (Corsa C) an adjusted the handbrake lever so it has 3 clicks.

After spending an hour in stop start M6 traffic this afternoon ive noticed when i roll forward the rear end dips down (like handbrake is still on?) ive jacked the rear end up & with the rear wheels off the floor & the hbrake off the rear wheels dont spin freely like they should?

Any ideas?

Did you have to slacken off the self adjusters when you took off the cable? Probably just settled now and needs an adjustment

Self adjusters lol lol er no lol should i have? Ive never had to do it before?

How did you get the old cable off without removing the adjusters? lol Normally when you put the brakes back together the adjusters are loose, so if you tighten the cable up too much, the adjusters wind up when you start driving and the handbrake cable ends up holding the shoes against the pads as they remove the spring tension.

Maybe there not *all* retards then lol

On Corsa C;'s you can remove the handbrake cables by undoing 3 clips. Can leave the wheels on & everything :)

Apparently its not meant to do it tho? Fcuk knows, its a lovely sunng day, 19c so its nice weather for a bit o' mincing :cool: AND i get fun fun testing my new found rear braking abilities out again :d

Corsa C handbrakes are notoriously shÃ*t, mines just like my Nova now ;) super duper lockable.
