Oh how I wish I was looking for an engine for my project, and also wish I had money flowing fourth from my bottom because my god thats expensive, even if it came with the bloody harness and ECU!! :(

in its day it was impressive, but there are cheaper ways of making the hp these days....

i have an irmscher 3.6 bottom end i got out of a monza years back. have a 24v head too, im just trying to find a LC exhaust manifold an im going to make a 3.6 twin turbo engine for my manta :) doubt ill find tho, prob just make one up

yes, very rare though.

@alan: that bottem end has the wrong pistons.. my mate has a 3.6 12v on tb's in his manta B, proper fun to drive.

aye i no, will not run much boost, but will run enough to have some fun:d

ya they did make a 4l only in 24v tho. the 3.6 blocks came in 12v's

well i wudnt really say hanging around as its still on that 3.6 12v enginelol never got to drive that monza so dont no what it wud be like, i thaut theyd be slow enough? didnt even make 200 iirc, i emailed some dude called tom in irmscher, he was very helpfull!:) then proceeded to tell me that the ecu's are different and he couldnt get me one :( thats whats wrong with that monza

i think i know who you mailed.. that's the same guy who rebuild my mate's 3.6 before he bought it.
3.6 12v is about 200 hp standard. but a good cam and some weber carbs do a lot on these engines.

i had a chat yesterday with him, you can get then running on 3.0 stuff.
it will need a lot of mods though. if youre serious he's willing to take some pics of his old setup (he ran it on 3.0 stuff before the tb's with KMS where fitted) and give a description of what to use.


and sell me the rocker cover!:thumb:

was that monza yellow? i remember seeing a yellow monza on triple webers on the net years ago. be some pig on juice id say, wont be touching it for a while yet have so many other projects to finish, and the manta is waay down the line!
