its a noob question:roll: , but how do you take of the backing to paint it on the side mirrors

From the outside of the car - Hit the mirror with some force backwards (Towards the back of the car) and it clicks the mirror out of place and you'll can 'extend' the mirror out (Once you do it you'll see what I mean) Then the mirror cover just clips out of the mirror case :)

i used to just grab the rear cover and pull it off.

whacking another car on the mirror usually does the trick.. but it would be better to go & get some spares so you can keep using your car while waiting for the paint to dry
