I'm gonna get a Pierburg 2e3 carb/inlet off an sr and was wondering how hard it is to swap from the manual choke on my 1b1 pierburg to a autochoke 2e3?

I've heard some bad things about autochokes. is it possible to use manual choke on the 2e3?

cheers

i wouldnt bother with auto choke its crap!! not sure if you can use a manual choke, it probably possible but ur probably better off just getting a twin choke webber.

the pierburg 2e3 are fine when adjusted correctly

i have put over 70 , 000 miles on my car with a pierburg with no troubles

to fit it you just need to plumb in 2 extra coolant hoses which go either side of the heater matrix.

get them off the donor car

so what about the choke cable? is that made redundant? is a weber 32/34 better than the Pierburg 2e3? And what are these hoses? are they easy to fit?
cheers

the 32/34 is a million times better than the standard carb, trust me i've got one. not cheap though.
also what engine u putting it on cos if its a 1.2 the jets will definately be too big, difinately not cheap!!

I have a PB1 carb and inlet off a 1.3 on my 1.2 and haven't changed the jets and it runs ok.
