So I bought a pair of rear seat belts of ebay from a Vauxhall breaker.

After I received them I tried to see if they work by pulling the belt but it wont move :wtf: I called them up and they said they were in working order when they took them off :wtf:

So does the mechanism lock when you remove from the car them or something? Is there some sort of trick behind this? I don't get why when I pull it nothing happens.

While on topic does anyone have a pic to show how they are installed?

Cheers

they need to be fitted before you can use them. they have safety lockouts in them that stop the inertia devices from working.

the seatbelt stuff should be in haynes

any pics of how they fit?

I tried to fit them but you have to be able to pull the belt in order to fit it

move whatever it is thats making it lock, it can only be along the bolt hole/backing plate

bolt the reel part on the car then youwill be able to pull the belt out of the reel to bolt the rest up
