tme bits wont make it any quickerlol what turbo you running. friend had a 4, with TME enigne gt30 gse cams, went very well, made 440 on std internals!
just cos it looks it it doesnt mean it is. stu looks gay but hes not :(

I thought the only difference between a 5 and a 6 EVO was one had orange indicators at the front and the other had clear ones :)

? evo 1-3 use a different layout, gearbox is on the other side, you can use internals from a 7 but need to keep 3 block head and gearbox

TME was basically a fancy front bumper, fancy interior, better chassis setup and a twinscoll turbo same as the RS but a gayer version tbh. 5/6 RS is miles better than a TME.
They still only made 280 standard power so you mate must of been running about 1.7bar and a lot of other mods inc the cams to see that power lol.
440 is a lot to push on standard internal as well, im surprised he didnt kill it.
Mines stock as far as turbo and map etc go, so im about the 280/300mark, once mapped it will be upto around 350. I wont be going much above that tbh. Im not trying to make a TME rep far from it as i think there naff but they look far far better over a std 5 bumper and it came with the car. Im not paying £600 for a bumper. .

the whole front ends different on 5 and 6 i think and the boot and spoiler and rear lights. probably just a little more work then converting a mk1 nova into mk2

aye his is a 4 only put in the tme engine as his 4 had the crank walk problem, wuda been the same with a std 5 or 6 engine. just got the tme cheap. made 404 with a roller bearing td05. then went gt30. he has sold the engine now, as thats as far as itll go on std internals, has a forged engine in now with an evo 9 turbo, once its run in he's going gt35! or one of those american evo black turbos. oh and was 1.8 bar he was running. ya tme bumpers are nice. get sum pics up:d

Unlucky with the 4 crank warp lol, some do some don't bit of a hit and miss with the 4 engine :(
A mate had a 6 with around 500/500 some 25k in the car and my god it went... But so did his clutch, and box etc etc it kept eating parts so he sold it on.
Once mine goes pop i'll look into forging it. but with it being a 5 I cant just do a rod job. It needs a new crank, rods pistons etc everything :( stroker 2.3 FTW :P
I'll bang some pics up when im happy with the car. Its still rolling with white bits n bobs and generally filthy etc... Im having to redo the rear arches and drivers door as the filler has cracked on the arches due to me being a mighty warrior and constantly rushing. It could of been a lot better than it is tbh, but 4 day colour change is a lot to ask im deffo getting too old for this **** at 28 lol.
I was thinking as well, On Tight B roads etc as std the evo is more than enough power. its when you start the willy waving on bigger roads and motorways where the extra power comes into play. Or your having a pop at a supercar :D
