Dropped it off at 12 due a call to collect anytime soon....
Agonising wait = Epic Fail!
1989 3dr Golf GTi just under 170k
Not bad condition loads of history.
Not really checked it over only bought it last week....
Who can guess the fails/advisories before I collect it??
I'm going with...
Handbrake recording little or no effort (Always the way with Golfs)
CV boot (Somewhere)
Bulging Brake Hose (Somewhere)
Not a Nova lol
tyres is always a good one for MOT fails you haven't checked, headlight alignment, and at 170k emissions lol
edit: just noticed 89, maybe not emissions then, unless its leaving cloud trails :p

Parents will love that, theres already 3 novas in the drive/garage and a peugeot at my grans lol
why do the basterds always fail on headlamp when they are the only people who can actually aim a headlamp correctly?????
i never, ever leave a car for an mot, ever......
i put my old nova in at a 'reputable' garage for some work & an mot, and they returned it afterwards, with the mechanic raving to my missus about just how fast it went, and with 35miles on it, we lived 1 mile from the garage
never again

F***ing Mot's! :(
That'll be a Kjet engine then, change the plugs, give it an oil change, run a tank of optimax through it with a shot of injector cleaner and make sure you cane the living crap out of it whilst you use that tank. SHould be clean as a whistle after that :)
My old MK1 golf GTi cab needed that treatment once a year or it would try to poison the MOT man lol
Focus has MOT tomorrow, but my MOT man is awesome :)
my MOT man is awesome :)

Retest on Monday here too.... Clutches are easy as long as you have a 12point bit for the f**king driveshaft! AAAAAGH! God I hope it makes it to the Mot station! But as we all know 8v's have the torque to turn the earth! lol
