View Full Version : New Daily
So after a road trip out to Kent, I came back with this:

Really nice tidy little diesel for the mileage its done! I would have believed him if he said it hadn't been round the clocks once already lol
Only problem is the wipers and electric windows decided to die on me on the way home, any idea what'd cause both windows to stop working when the fuse is ok? Guessing the wiper is a sticky/fcuked motor as I can hear the relay clicking :)

theres one earth for the windows in the centre near the gear stick.
The symptoms sound like something you would just get on one side.
Stuck motor, no power to motor etc.
I are glad you got this. Do like. Now watch the daily take over like I warned you :P It happens to all of us at some stage. lol

Looks a good car for a daily hack, shouldn't even notice the fuel gauge moving for a good few miles lol

you have made a booboo,
90% of mk2 diesels are rottern, unless they have been rebuilt, mk1 FTW

1 arch is crusty/bubbling, other has nothing on it, rear panel boot floor battery tray floorpan etc etc is solid, it's clean as hell underneath and theres a couple spots in the bay that need cleaning back and repainting. So, no I haven't :p

that is class mate, looks a good car for the money! always thought one of them would be a good little runaround.
Cock. If I'd seen that, I would have bought it.

Thats why I didn't tell you! lol
edit: Electric windows is a dodgy connection looks like it's been retro fitted/repaired badly with scotch locks, and wipers is a broken linkage, grabbed one off my other mk2, just gotta clip it on without cutting my fingers to shreds like when I tried earlier. lol
