After some advice on choosing tyres for my Nova. It will be used mainly for fast road and road rallying so needs to be a bit of an all-rounder in terms of grip, durability and so on.

Would use Yokohama A539s but they are no longer in production, so need an alternative with similar attributes. What tyre actually replaced the 539??

maybe you should use 185/60r14. the speedo gearing is pretty accurate & the extra aspect ratio will help with saving the rims. and they are a lot cheaper...

60s seem too big, i was thinking of 55s rather than 50s. They shouldnt be subjected to too much loose surface road.

for road rallying, i'd even say you should use steel rims cos they survive trips up grass verges way better than ally

stock hatches use yoko a048r street legal rubber.. but i think they will be expensive

i might invest in some steels. what car would have 5.5 x 14 steel rims with et49 offset?
