Anything in particular that it needs? Such as USB input or 3.5mm jack input or ipod compatibility?

head unit, 6x9's and a sub and amp will be enough :)

a decent stereo and 6x9's will be enough, subs and amps just add excess weight.

as abova mate, decent stereo, amp, 6x9's and a sub will do you fine if you are just looking for a bit extra volume and bass. If its quality you want there are other routes I would take.

depends what you want really if you want good sound then go for a set up of mids in the front and rear and tweeters and crossovers, and use you sub or subs as just bass and if set up rite will be prefect all round, 6x9's are a cross of bit of bass and treble and the bass of the sub and cancel out the bass of the 6x9s plus they aint all ways the best way to go but up2 you really. Halfords i think are doin a sale on headunits i.e jvc and some overs for under 80 quid, just depends and what sort of sound you want. Plus the size of the sub depends on bass meaning a 10inch sub will be some bass, 12 inch is middle bass witch is a good all rounder ,15 and bigger is pure bass, hope this helps you out mate

6x9's are crap, however, on their own powered from a headunit they are the best thinggoing, esp in a small car like a Nova.

If you are going to install an amplifier, the best setup is some small fr speakers 4" or 5" with a 10" sub or perhaps a 12". Well wired & well setup this will sound ace. Its all in the detail, a noob running all branded gear but just thrown in will have a poorer sounding system than someone that knows what they are doing with cheap gear.

The best starting point is a heaunit with a pre-out(s) which is a the signal output for an amp. Without this you can't expand your system. Sound deadening the rear quarter panels & doors with Dynamat is also a great idea. You can actually turn up a system higher on the volume control when you have less panel distortion & background noise. You dont need loads.

80 euros?

Look for a good second hand Pioneer or Alpine HU, some 6x9s and maybe some speakers cut into the doorcards. 80 euros won't really be enough to get a decent amp and sub as well.

Just to add. 6x9's attached to a wobbly std shelf will not transmit as much bass into the boot space as the same speakers on a stiffened acoustic shelf.

Audio is great, my next car is getting a banging system. I have all the gear but never fitted half of it.
