hi, i think this is a common problem, anyone know how to fix it? :- when im drivin along i hear a strange rattly noise from the gear stick, but when i push it to the side and hold it, it stops!! it doesnt matter what gear its in. i think i saw a message up here b4 about this..... any help will be much appreciated!! :-)

I think i had the same problem m8. It is a plate on the gearbox that comes loose and all I did was hit it a bit and it seems to have stopped but as far as i am aware there is not a lot u can do to stop it.

I had this on mine, it is a plate on the gear linkage. It is near wear the down pipe meets the centre pipe. I used something called grip fill, it is wall good stuff, it's basically a sealant. I put it around the rattly plate and now I have no more rattle.
