what colour is the resistor wire and does it start at the ignition switch?

im converting my 1.0 to a c14se

how far do i need to change the wire as i won't be using the original loom obviously

Go right back to the barrel, or....

Theres a switched live at the wiper motor, purple wire IIRC, use this as a feed.

My self and riggy converted a friends car over the weekend just gone, and thats what we used.

Also, its the black wire from the barrel to the coil!

the wire from the wiper motor sounds the easiest

so i just run the wire from the purple to the black wire on my 9 pin plug

Right, the thick red wire is permanent live, goes to the + side of the battery

The thinish black wire is the ecu switched live, connect this to the "Switched" live, on the wiper motor, the purple wire.

Any more issues, just shout:thumb:

personally, i'd still connect it to the ign switch...... just imagine if the wiper motor fails & blows fuses, leaving you stuck on the side of the road.........

use your haynes book, and a multimeter & work round the ign switch till you sort it. it should only take a couple of minutes
