centre heaters

Hi just wanted to know is it correct that my 1,2 L Mark 1 c reg TWO CENTRE heater blowers only blow cold air even when on hot? tHE side two vents nearest doors blow hot if hot is selected though? Its most strange. Or do i have an electrical fault?

Perfectly normal mate. They bring in fresh air. It might sound odd, but when the engine gets hot and you set your heaters to hot the fresh air makes it more comfortable.

i cant remember if they are meant to work, but its not an electrical fault as your blower is working. Check the lever mechanism which operates the centre vents

As I said mate, they will only blow out fresh air.

Shut the centre vents until the cabin gets warm from the vents blowing hot air. Then slightly open the centre vents so that things don't get too hot.

That's the approach I take and it's fine. I actually left the centre vens off before on a journey and started sweating lol So they are useful when it gets warm in there.
