fitting 288 deg newman cams on a C20XE with deep pocket pistons and dbilas bodies. do i just run on the standard marks? or adjust with the verniers?

he is right in what he said baxter, i bought some funky development cams from piper a few months back and they go on standard timing marks :p

sorry should of said i have verniers and dastek piggy back. the dastek is still to be mapped.

get a dti, find the dwell point at tdc of the pistons, then find the lift of the cams at tdc, then put belt on, or just put it to the marks lol

It all depends what spec the cams are - 288 degrees doesnt mean a great deal, without the supporting figures... Assuming that you have deep pocketed pistons, then its pretty pointless running lairy cams on rascal management...

If you run it as is on std marks and on Motronic at best it will run the same, worst case is that it will run like a bag of sheet and lower power/torque...
