H.I.D lights help!!!!!

i recently bought a set from a friend cheap

i roughly wired them up to test them and can only get them to work on main beam

i put them on high beam or "flash" them and the hi/low unit clicks but they dont go on high beam

any help?

Mine did that too, think the solenoid was knackered and not moving. So i binned them.

which bit is the solenoid benn?

The blackbox thing might also be fooked. Thats what controls the lo/hi beam....

The solenoid is the huge bit on the back of the bulb, the huge relay might have died too.

ill try another hi/low control unit see if that solves the problem
