Google Street View in 3d

Just been on google street view to look at some thing & just noticed its now in 3d all you need is some 3d glasses. Looks pretty good full screen.

Just thought id share that pointless bit of info with everyone lol

great, i hope i get some quality street chocs on sunday so i can make some 3d glasses from the wrappers, or better still, just go outside & see for myself!!!!!

I saw street view last week & thought it was pretty good but didnt notice it was 3d as well, Ideal for me as i dont have a satnav so can have a look at landmarks. Every one has an opinion on this either it invades their privacy or its ace & very helpful. :p

The thing I like is that they have taken the time to blur EVERY single number plate!!

They have special software which automatically detects number plates and blurs them. Its not 100% reliable though, hence why you get the odd random blur on pics of a hedge lol

That makes it sound like you need to be able to see landmarks in 3D for reference

I think thats quite cool. What I don't get is you can get a street view of BP Grangemouth Refinary on it yet If I got out with a camera and took a pic I would get done :wtf: lol

Yeah it does. Im sure there are secret army training bases in england on this as well. I could be wrong though lol
