Selling a private plate i have on retention?

Hi guys, i have a private plate for sale, that i currently have on retention. How do i go about transfering it to a new owner? just fill in the details then transfer it to the new keeper? is it as simple as that!
Anyone done this? cheers all! :)

to go on a car thats not yours you'll have to pay to add a nominee to the retention

So i just fill in the new owners name on the retention cert and send it off to the dvla with £25?

you'll see ur name on it top left, as in u can put it on whatever car you want but only you

if you have a nominee then they can use it also

think its £25 per nominee

my old man bought one last year and put my mums name as a nominee ans mine and as it was in the first instance it was free
