question on Basic ICE

just got my first car a nova! and couldn't wait to yank out its standard ice. im lookin at:
kenwood head unit kdc-6024

and 6x9's kfc 6908

any suggestions???

and does the Rated RMS of the speakers and head unit need to be matched or hows that work?? :o

no the RMS doesnt have to match. To get the best out of the speakers you should match them but your not going to get a rms of speakers to match the head unit, you need an amp. personally id get the front speakers first but its up to you.

De-aerial it, and get the hole filled at the same time.

What do you mean by de-ariel? Take the one off the bonet and do a bee sting or internal one or just not have one? My ariel on my bonnet is snapped and the radio has poor reception.

I have heard that it must be above the height of the car to pick up good reception (bee sting on roof!)
