I have thought about it quite well actually. If you are not interested, then please do not waste my time by sending me messages. If you are looking to purchase a Coscast head, go to Vauxhall and try and get one for £50-£100 quid. Good luck is all I can say as there not worth between £50-£100. I saw one go for over £800 the other day!

lol think he's in dream land on the £800 coscast head lol

I think it was probably attached to an engine of some sort or a race head

Not sure if it was standard but I'm sure it was just the head, I could be wrong on it being £900 but it was definitely over £800

tbh if that meets the spec that is written it is probably worth that much. mainly because its all built up.

valves are not cheap even standard

WOW

I'll take two and put them on my V6. Just file off the extra cylinders. Then I'll have a gazillion BHP

coscast heads are for people who dont know how to drive with a cold engine.
and a fixed KS is stronger then a coscast.

Coscast head=£300/£400

KS head £40, even if cracked it will only cost you about £8 to fix lol

Difference between both, nothing really.. lol

What a bargain, i'll have 2, 1 as a spare.

i personaly wouldnt want to buy that head for the simple fact that it had bronze sleves rather than complete guides, its a steal for the price though just my valves alone cost me £400

KS flows better when you blueprint it I believe. Id much rather build a quick XE with a KS if I were to do another one.

Never had a coscast always had the ks ones and had no problems.

ks make tons of stuff for tons of manufacturers & their stuff is top notch, the coscast has got this mythical status, like lotus twin cams, that is not actually all its made up to be...

cosworth are also an engine parts subcontractor, but there are bin lorries with cosworth stuff on them, does that make them any faster????

lol do you not think its due to the coscast head not going porous which makes them worth some money. i know people do the mod, but not eveyrone is capable to do the mod and would probably pay the price for piece of mind.

after all, if you have a KS one, it goes porous, then your gonna be forking out alot of money to either replace the engine it its really bad!

Coscast go pours too, just take a bit more. A head going doesn't mean you need to change the engine^ lol, just means you need to swap heads or get it fixed. The fix takes a few hours and costs about 50quid.

Stupid people love them, some guy in Ireland bought mine for 270.. Its a great way to make money...

If emulsified oil runs in your main & big ends for long enough it will.

That's a very prolonged thing tho.. Sure most people would notice it before then.

Remove oil gallery plug from exhaust side of head, insert alloy tube into oil gallery, tap in, refit plug. One fixed head :thumb:

ALTHOUGH some KS heads dont have the gallery plug

story is that a coscast hold more heat.

and as i said, a repaired KS is stronger then a coscast.

i never had a cracked head, and i never had a coscast lol
