nova gsi standard long cable, that is what i needed, so off i went to ek's (local motor factors) asked for the correct cable (i think there is only one type of cable for all models) got home tryed fittting it, too short:wtf: , and then was to late to head back to the motor factors. so all i can think they give me the wrong one although i did see the guy looking at vauxhall nova in the book?, unless there is more than one handbrake cable for a nova? anyone?

Ideally need to take the old one in with you. It's the only way to be sure.

Bear in mind mine is a 1.2 spi....however: I was unfortunate enough to get the wrong cable in the right box.. (had been bagged wrongly in the factory, however understandable as the difference in length was only about 30mm)

That 30mm was too much to adjust and i had to go back for the correct one.

It's a bit like getting cam box gaskets (how many times have people sold you the wrong one of those!?)

...I seem to recall that at some point in the production run the long cable swapped to the other side of the car.
