i was i need of a dirt cheap replacement
Luckily this came up for a total some of £100 :d (10months tax and test)

I took the springs and wheels off the red one and promptly fitted them
from on stilts lol

i did retro fit a headunit, as it didnt have one
cut holes in the parcel shelf/metal
routed wires for the 6x9s
and also fitted a subwoofer but thats all boring stuff lol

Sort out minor rust issues and the arch
Build an 'ok' spec 1200 running r1 carbs (dont ask why lol)
decent suspension!!!

yea it was a shame about the hatch was repairable but me being at uni
and needing a car within a week it wasnt finacially viable for me to repair
and i sold it on (for dirt cheap) which is now scrapped
i have the numberplate off it hanging in my room at halls, is that wierd? lol

first took the front bumper and grill off which has never been off the car i think :d

How did you prep your bumpers?

I want to spray mine black/dark but not too keen on having to sand them flat...

used ermmm p120(more like p600 cheapy blaady halfords sand paper lol) maybe of the top of my head and spent a long time sanding making sure i keyed and sanded down every inch of the bumper, then panel wiped them to remove the dust etc, then used halfords plastic primer, then would sand it down with p1200 iirc after it were dried, then gave it 3 coats of plastic primer then after that gave it 3 coats of satin black...... simples :d
Never reallyy painted anything so time will tell how long it will last lol
I think the worst thing was the grill sanding each bladdy hole was very time consuming lol

And i have these velcro strips for some reason in my car
