Some dirty thieving Ba****d has nicked my Nova.
1990 Vauxhall Nova GTE standard ? White.. G690 UCA.
From the Aintree area of Liverpool. Between 22:00 18-04-03 & 10:00 19-04-03.
Description.
White, Mk1 standard front end, Silver BSS cross spokes, white rear hatch (No grey vinyl) and a dent on the drivers side of the reg. plate on the hatch. Colour coded spoiler. Grey passenger mirror (broken at the bottom).
Standard interior (the usual worn spot on the drivers seat). No stereo at all.
The rear bumper has been modified by the last owner to accommodate the Peco back Box (side exit).
I was doing this up so I could take my Nova GSi off the road for a 16v conversion. And By the way it has No Tax....
If anyone in the Merseyside area or the Lancashire area knows the whereabouts of the car or knows who has or had it. Or just you nice lot of Novaloaders in the Liverpool area could keep an eye out for it please?

UPDATE!!!!
I have just got the car back..... If I knew how to post pics I would do it... Not much obvious damage to it though. Found in Wellesbourne Place, Norris Green.
My request still stands.... Anyone who knows who nicked it, I would be interested to know! All in the strictest confidance of course. You would be doing me and other people with Nova GTE/GSI's in the Liverpool area and doing humanity a favour by getting rid of another theiving scumbag polluting the gene pool and creating another theiving B*****D! All I do know it was a bunch of lads aged between 15 and 19 (they where seen abandoning it).

Be warned that the person/persons responsable will be treated with extream predudice to the point that the only thing the will joyride in again will be a wheelchair. :twisted:

The thing is that Myself and a mate has just taken the wheels off of it and each one was fingertight. I've spotted a few problems though.... Ther is a large whole where the innerwing attaches to the front pannel. It wasn't the when it got parked up as I had just had an MOT. also the b*****ds had done 80 miles in it... And get this! It had a complete brake overhall for the MOT and there is not a bit of meatl left on the pads!!!!
glad you got her back safely - all be it in a slightly worse for wear state than before it was knicked.

The CV gaters have popped off the shafts... :?
The brakes are completely knackered.. :evil: and I have found a large crack in the Drivers side innerwing, where it meets the front pannel.. :?
A welding job I think. but I've made sure that this won't happen again. I've removed the alloy wheels and left the backend on two old steal wheels and completely removed the front wheels and left it on another pair steel wheels under the front end, I've taken out the fuel pump relay, HT lead, rotor arm. and I'll be stripping the interior out of it soon too! I was doing this up so I could take my other Nova GSi off the road for some minor modds and repairs (the dreaded tinworm). But the cash I had to do that will now have to be used to repair the GTE. :cry:

I'm now very close to finding the B*****s who nicked my GTE!!!
A few names have popped up, and one has popped up a number of times... which leaves me to beleave that this is the culprit. If any one near the Aintree side of liverpool knows Stpogate Lane just off the East Lancashire Road will know the Famous Blue Star Chippy. Well apparently this guy and his co-horts hang about out side of this palce..... I have been given a description of the guy and I'm going scumbag hunting with a couple of mates in a van...
This guy won't be nicking cars again. Unless they have been converted for use by wheelchair uses.... Ohhh, Happy days are hear again!!!!! :lol:

funny thing is though mate, where was the two witnesses when he was nicking my car? :lol:
and it's dificult to I.D. someone if you are blind!!!!! :twisted:
Besides it wasn't me I was driving around with a few mates in a van.. far away from that incident. Ive got a van full of mates to prove it!! :lol:

Well the Police have the Stoplock and I've got to go and collect it today and see if the have any dabbs off of it!
The stoplock was found the the entry at the back of my house...
The idiots thought that leaving it out to the elements wil get the fingerprints off it. but the weather was good all night, so they should get something.
Word to the wise people!! The Saxon Stoplock pulse!! Don't touch it with a 10 ft barge pole, the locking mechanisam was bust open...
I'm going for the StopLock Pro next time!

how's things?
The valve conversion is at the moment a non-starter......
Due to me having to use the cash put aside for the conversion to repair the damage to the other GTE.
I did have an F reg cav diesel to run about in while I was doing the GSI but decided that I would get shut of it and use the money to do the conversion.
I'm in need of a full set of engine mounts and a good F13Cr gearbox, but trying to get these is like pulling teeth.
As for the individuals concerned... well I went the the cop shop today to pick up the Stoplock and the wouldn't give it back to me...
Apparently the forensic department found something... and the copper behind the counter asked me where was the car and have I had it cleaned as the forensic unit may want to come around and have a look at it...
So it looks like the may have some leads.... I'm not realy bothred looking for them as if the are caught it means the the will end up in the magistrates court and the I've got them....... as they have to confirm the name and address in court... Get my drift!!! Ok.. they will only end up doing comunity service. But! they won't show up at all!!! Not at home, not at comunity service!!!! I wonder where they could of got to?????
Dropping Tony off in Bangor next month... I may drop in if thats ok will (I'll give you a call first though)

the only physical lock to use is the disklock any other is a waste of money!
as for a decent F13CR then just buy any old one and get is rebuilt as at least you will know exactly where you stand with it then. wil;l save money in the end.
I have a F13 matey, but its on an engine at the mo.
I am not sure whether to let it go either, as I am not sure how my F13 will last on the valver lump!
But I still have quite a lot of bits, so let me know and I will let you have them!

a guy at college won a Mustang Cobra 4mnths ago in a vodaphone competition, he is 19 lol insurance was ?5k, car ?35k, import ?1k all paid for lol, would have been sweet if he din get crashed into by some tit in an Escort RSTurbo who wasnt insured that tried to race him and ended up takin half his back end off at the lights!!!!! lol the stupidity of that Escort -vs- Cobra hmmmm

No point, the guy was a true pikey, no insurance, living with his parents and most of all with no money, sueing him would have just wasted him more money, the other guy cant pay if he dont have it. He just has many enemies now as loads of guys from a local cruise payed him a visit.
However Vodaphone being the lovely people that they are wanted to use him and his car in Promotional photo shoots so they paid his excess to get the car repaired!!!! that guy has all the luck jammy git!

Not that I'm suggesting you do. Even beating then crap out of them is likely to see you in more trouble than them,pfff knowing ths country,they'd probably be able to sue you! :( :x
