I've fcuked it :(
Any squeamish people stop reading now graphic detail!
Last night (Thursday) me an me mate oli were picking up a car on a trailer to take it back to work, when disaster struck, we got the trailer loaded an were about to be on our way out of the blokes drive an home when oli moved the trailer an caught my finger between the trailer an a wall :shocked!: , there was a lot of blood so we ran inside to clean it off to see the damage, it wasn't good, the trailer had sliced into my finger an the wall had taken the skin off my knuckle,it was bandaged up with a rag as i went a bit white :fadein: , we uncoupled the trailer an jumped into the transit to head for Ely the closest hospital, we didn't know this but the A&E department at Ely is only open from 10am to 6pm so when we got there we were told Addenbrooks @ Cambridge was the nearest option  . We got there 30mins after it had happened an went in to be seen by a nurse who told us to wait in the waiting area, over 3 an a half hours (I spy, rock, paper, scissors and a failed attempt at a woman's own crossword) later I was called into see a doctor, he told me it was just the right side borderline for surgery so only stitches were required (my praying had payed off :rocol: ). I was shown into a cubicle where an Irish nurse came to clean my hand up an gave me a nice pain killing injection, then pulled out a needle an thread to patch me up after the 9th stitch I was starting to get some feeling back into my finger an told her this, she said it would be ok I only had a couple more to go SHE LIED it hurt like fcuk! The last stitches were done with hardly any anaesthetic left an it felt like a drawing pin had been pushed inside my finger wriggled about a bit then pushed out the other side. She then left another nurse took care of the rest of the cuts including a 1cm gash that you could see the bone through! I was patched up with 12 stitches, a box of strong painkillers, a box of anti-biotics an the promise of a couple of scars! We were in Addenbrooks from 9.45pm to 3.30am! in the space of 10 seconds I had ruined most of the plans for the next 2 weeks
