That the rear drum backing plates on the mk1 and mk2 are different?
Mk1 has a small cylinder shape that comes out of the backing plate to accomodate the handbrake cable and the mk2 doesnt have this "small cylinder" as it has tags on the rear beam for the handbrake cable to slot into.
I think ive refurbed mk2 backing plates, built up the drums and bolted them to my mk1 rear beam to find that i need to have mk1 backing plates to run the mk1 handbrake cable :cry:
