after looking all over for a mk2 1.2 rear beam and having no look i rememberd i had sold a mate a rear beam a couple of years back and he still had it . SO i have bought it back off him only thing is were mine has the little curverd channels on eather side that the hand brake cable fits into this one doesnt it just has about a 10mm wide by 20 mm diamiter ring in each end and has a plastic plate riveted onto the center of the beam sure my old gte used to have this kind on but can anyone confirm what its off as i will need to go and buy new cables unless i cut the small channels off the old beam and weld them onto the new one? cheers for any help

You have an early beam then, same as fitted to the sports!

However, my c reg has the newer cable guides, so am not sure

Not for the first time!

The cables attatch to the slider which is part of the beam.

its no problem lads i think its going to be to much hastle trying to find all the parts so ill just cut the bits off that late beam and weld them onto the early one should sort the job
